Kalinga Indoor Athletic Stadium

The Kalinga Indoor Athletic Stadium is the first of its kind in India and the largest in South Asia. It was recently certified by the World Athletics as Construction Category I for meeting stringent criteria related to infrastructure, facilities and technical capabilities. This accreditation opens the doors for hosting prestigious international events. The fully air-conditioned indoor stadium is equipped with comprehensive facilities for the full range of events normally held indoors. With a spectator gallery for 2000, It features a 200m Athletic Track, a 100m Practice Track for Javelin throwing along with facilities for Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, and warm up areas for sprinters. The Oval Permanent Track has been designed with a metal structure to maintain their dimensional accuracy over time. A Weight Training Centre and a Gymnasium provide further facilities for the athletes. The façade has been carefully designed to enhance the aesthetics of the space.

The Kalinga Indoor Athletic Stadium is not just a competition area but also a training ground with motion sensing training cameras to monitor progress. Additionally, there is a Residential and Dining facility for more than 100 athletes for full-time coaching. The Kalinga Athletic Complex is truly a world-class facility that will provide athletes with the perfect environment to train, compete and succeed.
