Sports Infrastructure Masterplan, Goa

Under the State Gov’ts initiative, various sports development projects have been undertaken across Goa with the primary aim of promoting a sports ecosystem and nurturing talent. Collage Design was assigned with Masterplanning of Sports Complexes in three districts of North Goa – Valpoi, Usgao and Peddem.

The Development Program of Masiche Mal Ground at Valpoi consists of multiple Outdoor and Indoor Sports Facilities, along with a 25m County Standard Outdoor Swimming Pool. Cricket Nets and a full size Cricket Field with 3 Pitches have been designed as per ICC Guidelines. A Football Field (7-a side) has been developed in compliance with FA rules. The Multi-sports Hall is a standard 5-Court Hall in which sports such as Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball. Table Tennis etc can be played.

The Usgao Sports Complex has been designed around a Football Ground, with Pavilion Building and 500 capacity Spectator Seating, including a VIP Lounge from where the views of the football field can be enjoyed. The Complex comes with a Gymnasium and support areas such as Lockers, Coach Room, Equipment Room, Admin Offices etc. The Upgradation of Peddem Sports Complex will cater to multiple sports interests. It has a Football Field, Cricket Ground, Badminton Court with Seating, a Boxing Hall, Swimming Pool, Indoor sports such as Table-Tennis and a Synthetic Running Track.
