2nd North East Olympic Games, 2022
Meghalaya

Meghalaya played host to the North East Olympic Games (NEOG) held in Shillong in November of 2022. The Games not only raised the bar in terms of infrastructure and arrangements but also the performances of athletes from across the region. The Collage Design team, in coordination with the State Sports Council Meghalaya, ensured seamless Games Times delivery through Field of Play (FoP) Mapping and Overlay Planning. The 8-day multi-sport event witnessed over 3,000 athletes display their talent in 18 sports disciplines held across 12 venues in Shillong.

We ensured that all Event Overlays were in compliance with the respective sport federation guidelines, and local safety protocols. Each sports optimum venue was identified and the Field of Play (FOP) Layouts and Overlay Mappings were meticulously curated, forming vibrant spaces to meet international standards. Careful venue readiness facilitated optimal event execution. The NEOG not only elevated Meghalaya’s sports infrastructure but also highlighted the rich culture and diversity of the North East, and established the region’s sporting prowess to be at par with others in the country.
