Campal Football Stadium, Goa

The Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) embarked on a visionary endeavour to transform the Parade Ground in Campal, Goa, into an International Football Stadium. Situated along the bustling Main Road in Panjim on the scenic waterfront, this project represents a significant milestone in the region’s sporting infrastructure development. Designed to cater to the fan experience, the Stadium creates an intimate atmosphere that brings spectators close to the action.

With a seated capacity of 1350, the FIFA Compliant Stadium promises an immersive viewing experience, characterised by exceptional sightlines from every angle, in close proximity to the field of play. The European-style Stadium features covered seating that holds in the sound and provides opportunity for future expansion through temporary overlays to host larger events. The design of the marquee venue blends local architectural influences, harmoniously synthesising tradition and modernity. Inspiration came from the region’s rich cultural heritage and maritime legacy, from the palm trees to traditional wooden boats. Beyond its primary function as a Football Arena, the Stadium serves as a multifaceted hub, offering revenue-generating spaces for commercial ventures, support facilities for schools and residents, and state-of-the-art amenities for players, officials, and spectators alike. With a diverse array of sporting and community needs, the Football Stadium at Campal is truly a testament to innovation and inclusivity.
