Located close to the Krishna River in Amravati, the 125 ft tall statue is to be fabricated with over 352 tonnes of stainless-steel armature framework and 112 tonnes of bronze finished with black patina. This is to be placed on an 81 ft raised pedestal building consisting of two floors, surrounded by a colonnade. Envisaged without walls or fences on its periphery, the memorial will comprise a Multipurpose Convention Centre, a Meditation Hall (Dhyan Kendram) with retractive partitions, an expansive Library, Covered and Open air Theatre, and a Memorial hall that showcases the life of Dr. Ambedkar with graphical and life size models. The Smruthi Vaman is to also feature a musical fountain and facilities for multimedia projections and laser shows.
