Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre
Amravati, Andhra Pradesh

Dedicated to the champion of human rights and the father of the Indian Constitution, the Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Centre is planned to be developed over a land parcel of 20 acres. Located close to the Krishna River in Amravati, the 125 ft tall statue is to be fabricated with over 352 tonnes of stainless-steel armature framework and 112 tonnes of bronze finished with black patina. This is to be placed on an 81 ft raised pedestal building consisting of two floors, surrounded by a colonnade. Envisaged without walls or fences on its periphery, the memorial will comprise a Multipurpose Convention Centre, a Meditation Hall (Dhyan Kendram) with retractive partitions, an expansive Library, Covered and Open air Theatre, and a Memorial hall that showcases the life of Dr. Ambedkar with graphical and life size models.
