The high performance Aquatic Centre has been integrated in the 105 acre multi-sport Kalinga International Sports Complex. This world class indoor aquatic arena boasts of a 50m Olympic Size Swimming Pool along with a 25m Practice Swimming Pool. Built on 6 acres, the Aquatic Centre is reflective of our core approach – that all designs must be future proof while also taking into account the changing needs of clients and end users.

As the Aquatic centre is located in a cyclonic zone, the façade cladding was designed to ensure its resilience to high wind pressure. 17,000 panels were crafted from Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) and arranged in an octagonal pattern. The colour palette of white and blue cascading downwards evokes the impression of rolling waves. Entry and Exit points are provided such that players and spectators movements do not affect each other.

The Aquatic Centre follows the rigorous standards laid out by FINA – from the type of fixture and colour of lane ropes to the bounce and angle of starting platforms. The heat pumps are installed to control the water temperature. The Fitness Centre is equipped with all features for training, including a physiotherapy room. The Residential Facility for trainees comes with 24 Dual Occupancy Rooms with Dining and Kitchen utilities along with Recreational and Training Rooms. This comprehensive swimming facility is designed to give a global experience to both competitors and spectators.
