Ponda Indoor Stadium, Goa

With the aim of developing infrastructure for the 37th National Games held in Goa in 2023, the Sports Authority of Goa engaged Collage Design to construct and upgrade various venues. The Ponda Multi-purpose Indoor Stadium has been designed to provide a facility that can be utilised all year round for sports and recreational events.

With an Indoor Spectator Seating capacity of around 440, the Ponda Stadium has 3 Badminton Courts, Taekwondo and Judo Courts, Boxing Ring, Table Tennis and other Indoor Sports facilities. The design of each facility meets the highest standards of the respective Federation Guidelines. Additional facilities that complement the Stadium include a Gymnasium, Players’ Warm Up Hall and a Multipurpose Hall which can be used for all types of events. Incorporated around the facility are support areas required for the smooth operation of the Stadium such as Administrative Offices, First Aid Room, Sports Equipment Storage Rooms, Locker Rooms, and other such essential requirements. Collage Design has also created the new office for the Sports Authority of Goa and Youth Affairs. Blending into the landscape, the two departments are connected with an atrium and share common amenities and seminar halls
