The stadium boasts seating for 50,000 spectators, including private suite boxes and VIP business seats, catering to both cricket and football enthusiasts. Embracing local architectural influences, the venue pays homage to the region’s rich heritage while embracing contemporary design principles. The Complex Masterplan includes a Club House and Convention Centre with facilities for Banqueting, Conferences and Exhibitions along with a Hotel. The Indoor Sports Hall is equipped to host International tournaments complete with spectator seating, locker rooms and warm-up areas. The Swimming Pool Complex encompasses an Indoor Recreational Pool and an Olympic size outdoor pool. With additional amenities such as Restaurants and Retail Outlets, the venue transforms into a year around destination.
The stadium stands as India’s first DBFOT (Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer) model outdoor stadium. It is also the first one to be recognised as a fully eco-friendly stadium in India with a number of green initiatives taken such as facilities for rainwater harvesting.
