Established in 1959 and recognised as an Institute of national Importance, the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) is a premier Technical and Research University. More than a decade back, the Institute embarked on realigning the campus to meet specific goals for its long term growth, including creation of an environment that promotes interaction and learning. As empanelled Consultants for Architecture and Interiors, Collage Design worked closely with the various NITW departments to deliver State-of-the-Art facilities for the students and staff.
Spread over 200 Acres, the new Campus Masterplan, implemented over the course of 3 years, created a new Pedestrian Central Avenue with spaces for academics and recreation. A series of covered walkways and courtyards connected the campus and provided the students and faculty multiple avenues to circulate in. A series of public spaces, including amphitheatres, gardens, kiosks and terraces, provided the much needed areas for social interaction and protected from the elements. In addition, the separation of vehicular and student movement further eased mobility. Our scope of work extended to the development of the following:
- A 350 Bed Ladies Hostel
- Centre for Innovation & Incubation with offices and laboratories
- Upgradation of Administrative Building Interiors
- Classrooms Complex for 2000 Students of varying capacity
- Auditorium with Seating Capacity of 1000
- MBA Classroom Interiors
- Renovation of Department Interiors with lounges, cabins and meeting rooms
