Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum
Lambasingi, Andhra Pradesh

The Tribal Museum in Lambasingi has been meticulously designed to pay tribute to the heroic resistance of tribal and peasant communities against British colonial rule in India. Taking inspiration from the struggle, the architectural design leverages it as a metaphor for the People’s Leader, Alluri Sitarama Raju. The elements have been carefully integrated with the surrounding environment and historical narrative of the region. Spanning more than 21 acres, the Complex includes a Tribal Haat (Market), Museum, and Themed gardens with Amphitheater, Resort and a Themed Restaurant along with many more features. The facade itself is designed as an exhibit with traditional tribal art forms adorning the walls, reflective of their customs and traditions.

The multiple museum galleries are laid such as to provide a peep into the Pre-British era to the Post Independence challenges faced by the community. State-of-the-Art interactive displays with multilingual narratives will provide a comprehensive museum experience for the visitors. Overall, the architectural approach seamlessly weaves together the rich historical, cultural, and environmental aspects of the site, creating an immersive experience for visitors while paying homage to the resilience of the tribal communities.
